One Mile Workshop

One Mile Workshop is a small workshop in Chico California near the one mile entrance of Bidwell Park.  We specialize in highlighting the pieces of lumber that some woodworkers would consider scraps and turning them into one of a kind products.  Sapwood, knots, and checking (cracks) will all normally end up getting tossed in a wood shop but we believe that stabilizing the knots, filling the crack, and incorporating sapwood into a design is worth the effort to make sure that; one, the wood isn't wasted and two, each piece is different.

The shop started as a hobby in 2013 and is now quickly picking up speed.  We have expanded our shop, our storage for air drying rescued/reclaimed lumber, and our tools capacity.  This has allowed us to produce faster and take on custom orders.
